Following a number of splashy opening bashes, The Ned NoMad has officially opened its doors.
The first international outpost of the London-based members' club and hotel, the posh destination is housed in the iconic Johnston Building, formerly home to the NoMad Hotel. While some features of the Beaux Arts space may be familiar (like the beloved Library Bar and rooftop rotunda), it's gotten quite the fancy face lift since being taken over by entrepreneurs Ron Burkle and Nick Jones, the Founder & CEO of Soho House.
With a nod to its British roots, The Ned NoMad is dripping with old school luxury, from its plush dining room and lounge areas to its new, open-to-the-public Cecconi's restaurant - the first location of the swanky Italian eatery to open in Manhattan. Its 167 bedrooms and suites, which are also available for public booking, are inspired by "1920s glamour." You'll find rich dark wood accents, crystal chandeliers, and hundreds of pieces of artwork throughout.
As for its membership perks? The sure-to-be society hub and celebrity go-to features plenty of private areas for its members, including the first floor bar and atrium (complete with a stage for live entertainment), the cabaret club-inspired Magic Room, and the rooftop lounge and terrace. A calendar of curated events and special programming will provide members plenty of opportunities to mingle in style.
It's already the buzziest new spot for the city's social and fashion flock. And if you didn't already think the place was exclusive, the price point may convince you: it's $5000 a year for new members, $4000 for under-30s, and $2500 for existing Soho House members.
