If you're anything like me, you're just about foaming at the mouth to go somewhere and do something right about now - desperately collecting a list of future destinations to dream of in the interim. Well, one look at GrayBarns and your upcoming weekend away will plan itself!
Nestled in Norwalk, Connecticut, the historic property is less than an hour from NYC, and features an inn, tavern, and mercantile shop (because really, shopping is a very important part of the winding down process). Currently set to reopen mid-June, the Inn at GrayBarns boasts six annoyingly beautiful king suites, each with a large bedroom, cozy living area, and full-size bath with soaking tub. Personally, I believe that if you can't take a long hot bath on a vacation, you might as well not pack your bags at all.
While the boutique property is very spacious, to alleviate the Coronavirus concerns of guests, GrayBarns has added extra precautions such as updated housekeeping protocols, extra safety procedures for staff, breakfast delivered to your door daily, al fresco dining options and more.
And though holing up in your room the entire time would still make for a lovely little escape, there's plenty of socially distanced fun to be had in the area, whether hiking, fishing, biking, or just relaxing in an Adirondack chair by the lake is your jam.
