Despite five cult-favorite locations in the city and outposts all over the world, Cipriani's hospitality takeover is only just beginning.
The latest hot spot from the beloved Italian brand which has become practically synonymous with luxury and exclusivity? Fittingly enough, a hotel and members' club that offers a hefty dose of both.
Casa Cipriani has taken over the iconic Battery Maritime Building, the historic Beaux-Arts style ferry terminal that was designed way back in 1906. Since then, of course, it's gotten some serious upgrades. Casa Cipriani tapped architect and designer Thierry Despont to meticulously restore the space and curate the interiors of its 47 guest rooms and suites, outfitting them in lacquered mahogany, custom Italian furnishings, and warm, maritime-inspired elegance.
In addition to a guaranteed luxurious stay, the waterfront destination is also home to a particularly glamorous social club in the spirit of the original Harry's Bar in Venice. To the tune of $3,600 a year, members have access to an old school jazz club, an in-house restaurant, plush bar and lounge areas, and a chic rooftop venue with views of the East River, Statue of Liberty, and Brooklyn Bridge.
The tony new locale is slated to officially open later this month, but for those in the know, it's already the hottest see-and-be-seen watering hole in town. Click through for a peek inside!
