Palazzo Daniele (Salento, Puglia, Italy)
Southern Italy's Puglia region has skyrocketed in popularity this past decade. From its unique Hobbit-like Trulli architectural landmarks to its storied towns' meandering streets oozing culture and rustic charm, it's not hard to understand why. Located on Puglia's Mediterranean Sea-fringing Salento Peninsula is Palazzo Daniele: a nine-suite luxury hotel housed in a 159-year-old family palazzo, part of new hospitality brand GS Collection. Formerly the dwelling of art philanthropist Francesco Petrucci, its minimalist blueprint strips back on the interiors while enhancing the grandeur of the palazzo's original frescoes and mosaic flooring to create a dramatic canvas for its contemporary art collection and hyper-specialized installations.
