What are your personal favorite rooftop bars?
Brian: Personally, I’d probably go with Bar Hugo. it’s a new one on the West Side.
Max: This is always an interesting question because I don’t like naming an exact place. I also grew up here, so I feel like I go to a different place for a different mood. It’s kind of hard to pick a favorite, so it goes back to the origin of what our idea was -- us just trying to give details of what the place is versus which one is actually the best. That’s a huge part of what we’re doing with venues as well. We’re working with them to form a two way street between the venue and talking to the customer and ensuring they are both happy with what they’re seeing on both ends of the spectrum. If I had to pick a favorite though, I like The Thompson.
Brian: That said, Bar Hugo I’ve been to twice. It’s my favorite but I like trying new places, and to Max’s point I’d rather try a new place then go back to Bar Hugo. That’s my passion really, trying new places I find on TAABS. And again, that’s why we did this, we want you to try new places as well.
