What do you find are the most popular searches, or “TAABS”?
Brian: It’s really hard to say. We do keep track of the analytics, so technically the most searched are happy hour, good beer selection, and outdoor spaces. Those have been popular more recently.
Max: The least popular are Mezcal and Chartreuse.
Brian: Mezcal is one of the lesser searched ones, but we keep it there because if you’re the type of person that absolutely loves Mezcal, you’re like, “Oh my God, an app that just tells you where to go with Mezcal? That’s amazing!”
Max: Some people want very, very different things.
Where do you see TAABS in one year?
Brian: I see us thriving in New York, I see us with venue partners who are paying us to promote their own content on the app, and I see us starting to expand. It won’t just be Manhattan and Brooklyn – we’ll have Queens, Westchester, New Jersey, Long Island, and more, so we plan on expanding outwards that way. In a year, we really just want to establish our presence here. I would say 100,000 active users would be a success.
