Why did you start here in New York, and are you planning on launching in other cities as well?
Brian: Definitely planning on expanding at some point, but we wanted to start in New York for two reasons. One, it is our home, it’s what we’re familiar with, but more importantly it’s the nightlife capital of the world. There are more nightlife venues in New York City than the next four cities combined. So, we figure if we can do it here and grow enough of a brand here, expanding will be a much more seamless transition.
Max: New York is really the stress test of the product. If it works here, like Brian said, it can work anywhere else.
Which cities would be next on your list?
Brian: We kind of want to keep it East Coast, so our top three would be DC, Philly, and Boston, and on the West Coast it would be San Francisco. San Fran is the tech capital of the world, and we figure expanding there would be good for the brand as far as gaining more publicity, and then expand to LA shortly thereafter. However, we want to maintain our New York identity, and we don’t want to lose that even after we expand.
