The Waldorf Astoria
While this famous NYC hotel is currently closed to the public while it undergoes renovation, we couldn't help but include it in our list. And how could we not? The 1974 version of The Great Gatsby was filmed at the incredible location...talk about iconic! Opened in 1931, the Waldorf is one of the world's largest hotels, with over 1,400 rooms. From former Presidents to some of Hollywood's most famous stars, only the best of the best have stayed at the Waldorf, and you can too - well, eventually.
