Ah, the veritable shitshow that is New Year's Eve in New York City. Between all the booze and Uber surges, it can be a hard night to get through. While some fabulous parties and ways to celebrate exist, there are way more terrible options than there are good ones. And since NYE is supposed to set the tone for the rest of your year, you really don't want to end up making out with a stranger behind the dumpster of your nearest dive bar. (Then again, we don't know your life.) In any case, here are some places to avoid at midnight.
