I think I took a lot from when I worked at Madame Wong’s, when I did that with Max and Travis. And I also learned a lot while working with other people after Madame Wong’s closed and before the J opened. So I made my bones working and learning, and I’m trying to take all that I’ve learned to bring here. What's the main nightlife lesson you'll be applying to The Raven? The most important thing I’ve learned is that you don’t want to burn bridges. You can’t, obviously, please everybody, but you don’t want to be arrogant and offensive and awful. That’s the horrible part of nightlife that I’ve found - people who have lost touch with reality. There’s no need for it. Just be nice, from your door, to your security, to your staff, just have a nice attitude. [Photo, Madame Wong's via]
