We sense an irreverent preppiness in your pieces mixed with some street style cool. What would you say you're capturing with your designs?

Those are two of my biggest influences for sure. I hated the word preppy for so long and rejected it whenever it was tied to me, but I grew up in Connecticut, was voted “preppiest” in the high school year book superlatives (against my will), and was in a fraternity in college….so as much as I rejected the term, I grew to learn that it's likely just part of my DNA I could not run from anymore. Eighties and '90s Ralph Lauren/Tommy Hilfiger is a huge inspiration as well and captured a timeframe and idea perfectly. At my core, I would say the brand and what I am building is traditional with a modern twist and spice. As much as I am obsessed with Chrome Hearts and it's been my favorite go-to brand for the past several years….I know that’s not actually ME or what I am. Authenticity I think is huge for any brand, and I am trying to convey the lighthearted preppy factor with a modern edge of street style and flair. Style is all about having fun and expressing yourself, and in these early pieces I am trying to bring that out. I am trying to capture the traditional classic feel and old Hollywood vibe, with a mix of new age and fashion.
