Zoomtopia

Long before Zoom fatigue set in, and when the idea of dressing up and mixing a drink to sit in front of your computer screen was still quite novel, we attended Zoomtopia, the "first-ever charity Zoom gala" planned by our favorite social butterfly siblings, Toby and Larry Milstein, to raise money for the World Health Organization's COVID Response Fund and The International Medical Corps. We downloaded a background worthy of such an occasion (Truman Capote's Black and White Ball, natch) and got to toasting (and singing) along with the likes of Jill Zarin, Timo Weiland, Casey Fremont, and tune-providers including DJ Ty Sunderland and Cheat Codes. It was a new experience for sure, one that certainly wouldn't be new for long, but after approximately two weeks of grasping our new normal, it was indeed a welcome social escape.
