Who said dating is for dummies? Dating has rules. Anyone in a current relationship can tell you that. Proper dating etiquette is something every person should know. First, were the DONT'S of dating and now there are the DO'S. So, here is a short list of simple rules for a fool proof date!
Do plan the date out
Show them you want them to have a good time and plan out the date. You don't want to show up fand not have any idea where your going or even worse ask them to pick somewhere to go. That, my friend, will put you on the "NEVER GO OUT ON A DATE WITH THEM" list.

De-Stress
It's supposed to be fun! If the thought of meeting face to face with this person makes you nauseous and stressed out, take a long bath before getting ready. Look in the mirror and hug yourself. Check yourself out. Even talk to yourself, it's okay - I do it all the time. Remind yourself of two things: you're hot and you're sexy. Now, go get it.

Wear something comfortable
Ladies, this applies to you. Yes, you want to look smoking hot but, you don't want to be pulling at your skirt all night. At least, if you know your going out to eat, wear something semi-stretchy. There's nothing worse than an obvious food baby belly to ruin your outfit.

Do open the door
Guys, this one is for you. I beg you, if you're really really into your date, please open the door. There is nothing more heart melting than a guy who knows how to court a girl. Maybe, even go as far as to holding out your hand if you have a truck or pulling out the chair before she sits. Needless to say, little things go a long way.

Do Listen
I couldn't stress this enough. Listening equals great conversation. Ask questions off of what your date is saying and get to know them. Honestly, if you can't pay attention to what your date is saying, why are you on a date with them?

Do suggest something on the menu
If you've been the restaurant before and you know what is good on the menu, suggest it! There's nothing more annoying than looking at the menu and having an awkward silence cause one person doesn't know what to order. Or maybe, he/she never had that kind of cuisine before. In that case, it comes off as cultured and knowledgeable. It can even be an awesome conversation starter. HINT. HINT.

Do bring paper AND plastic
I hate to say this but- yes, bring cash and a debit/credit card. You don't want to look like the only fool who either doesn't have enough cash or gets his card declined. So, just in case- bring both!

Do compliment
And last but most definitely not least, remember to compliment each other! It's always good to flatter someone.

Oh yeah- one more thing! Don't forget the flowers!
