Fetid Feet
My boyfriend and his roommate have stinky feet. I prefer that people not wear shoes in my apartment, so their visits present a problem. My boyfriend has agreed to wash his feet in my tub when he visits. But when I suggested this practice to his roommate, he ignored me. How do I solve this problem?

What is this, Control Queen Week at Social Q’s? It is your prerogative to keep the carpets clean and your visitors’ shoes off. (That’s not how I roll, but I don’t pay the rent on your place, either.) I also applaud your zeal in wiping out stinky feet, one pair at a time. But if a quiet word with your boyfriend does not improve his roommate’s hoof hygiene, better to exclude him from future shindigs. Demanding shoe checks and foot baths, both, is a brogue too far.[Photo via]
