The way I see it, you can break one of two ways when you get really old. Either you can decide that life owes you some grand unpaid debt and become hostile and awful, or you can realize that vanity is no longer worth your time and become one of those awesome, liberated elderly people who just aren't wasting their time on B.S. Obviously, there's plenty of room in the middle for normal people, but when I meet a crazy old lady on an airplane who feels free to speak her mind, even if I find her point-of-view to be bizarre or different from my own, I usually enjoy the experience. And even if she just wants to tell you all about her grandkids, this old lady is proud of her grandkids! Indulge her, you selfish jerk!
