The Ned, City of London

A bank turned boutique stay, The Ned, City of London functions as a luxury hotel, members' club, and gastronomical watering hole. Rooms have been stylishly refashioned from their former lives as bank offices: Velvet cocktail chairs, tasseled lampshades, mirrored drink cabinets, and palm frond-shaped chandeliers invoke a 1920s-glamour type feel that serves as a tribute to the buildings “Roaring '20s” prime.

There's a pool occupying the bank's former gold vault, catching attention with its mosaic tiling, bulky marble columns, and checkerboard flooring. Like the recently opened Ned outpost in New York, this locale also boasts a swanky Cecconi's restaurant on site.
