When a handsome young art collector and a goddess of a model get hitched, one could only expect a masterpiece of a party. Especially when it calls for three days' worth of tequila-fueled revelry in Mexico.
This month, London-based collector and gallerist Nicolai Frahm wed model Mariana Herrera in Oaxaca and, needless to say, it was an artsy affair. Socialites including hotel heiress Lydia Forte and the former Miss Mexico were joined by artists like Ai Weiwei and Chloe Wise to toast the gorgeous couple, who led guests through agave fields, authentic Mexican festivities, and a stunning al fresco dinnerscape.
While the pre- and post-ceremony celebrations were extravagant enough, the main event was truly breathtaking. The lovebirds exchanged vows in the gilded Church of Santo Domingo de Guzman, a former monastery rich with history (and photogenic moments). Afterwards, guests were treated to live mariachi performances and customized bottles of Casa Dragones tequila - which are worth up to $280 a bottle. Talk about love-drunk.
