Lauren Berger, founder of InternQueen.com and author of the National Campus Best-Seller, ALL WORK NO PAY: Finding An Internship, Building Your Resume, Making Connections, and Gaining Job Experience, created the Intern Queen Party in July 2011 to provide a night of fun, networking, music, food, drinks, and prizes for those hard working summer interns in New York City. The first event attracted over 800 students and has grown since. With all big apple success, Intern Queen decided to add DC to the mix. The DC event, sponsored by Dell and Anne Taylor was held at the downtown Anne Taylor Connecticut Ave Store. The evening boasted a fun-filled night complete with DJ, photo opportunities, drinks, food, and of course - and educational aspect. Each year, Lauren hand-picks a panel of rockstar executives and internship coordinators. The panel consists of executives from Girls Life Magazine, USA Today College, Golin, U.S House of Reps, UnderArmour, Dormify, National Journal, and the NAACP.
