Other details: NPR celebrated 16 years discovering and bringing music to the masses via on-air music reporters Rob Hilton and Bob Boilen on All Songs Considered. The evening included performances by Sharon Van Etten, Kishi Bashi, Dan Deacon and more. During his performance, Kishi Bashi thanked NPR for recommending his performance in Austin outside of the official SXSW annual festival showcases. Something he exclaimed "...changed my life forever." The 9:30 club unveiled a back lit display of vinyl and CDs representing all artists who have performed at the venue and the evening ended with a giant balloon drop and NPR team on stage celebration to the tunes of Baltimore native Dan Deacon's electronic tunes.
