How did you decide on the name, “Le Village Marche?”
It means the village market (although it is not grammatically correct in French, which I have had pointed out by a few French speakers) J Two reasons: I chose The Village at Shirlington in Arlington as my first location because it is so quaint. It has a Main Street feel with lovely restaurants and theatres. It is truly an oasis to our fast-paced Washingtonian lifestyle. The second reason is because I was so inspired by the markets in Paris. You find unique things, great soaps, a few antique treasures, but it’s not too fancy, definitely not stuffy, or too fussy. That’s my shop.
