Marfa, TX
A small city of less than 2000, Marfa is located in between the Davis Mountains and the Big Bend National Park. Once a waterstop, the population increased during WWll and in later years. Currently it is a community of artists and minimal art sculptures and displays. It is also the home of Prada Marfa, a land art project developed by artists Elmgreen and Dragset constructed in 2005. The building is modeled after a Prada boutique, and the interior is inaccessible. Aside from the many art sculptures and architecture found in Marfa, there are artisan shops, historical landmarks, art galleries and the Marfa Lights. It's the perfect example of classic Texas and something they certainly will never see in the U.K.
