Italy

Italy SkiingItaly is very often seen as a summer vacation spot, but Northern Italy is one of the coolest winter getaways in the world. Sauze d’Oulx, located in the Northern city of Turin, is a haven for party animals who happen to dabble in skiing. This is largely thanks to Sauze d’Oulx serving as a winter destination for Turin aristocracy. Sportinia is the best area to go for said nightlife. For serious skiers, Sauze d’Oulx is one of the towns that makes up Via Lattea - or Milky Way - which has one of the best pistes in Italy. For those who want beautiful scenery, Cortina d’Ampezzo is a breathtaking ski spot close to the Italian-Austrian border. The Dolomites, found in Cortina, is a dramatic terrain that offers up a good challenge for skiers who want a more difficult course to tackle. The famed ‘Dolomiti Superski lift’ offers access to 12 different ski areas, and 758 miles of pistes! The world-acclaimed circular ski route around limestone massif, Sella Ronda, is part of this network, and is one of the most spectacular places to visit in Europe.
