How Cereal Transformed American Culture
Have you ever wondered why we all started eating cereal? I found the story pretty interesting...
Before
Dr. John Kellogg "invented" what would become cereal, there was Dr. James Jackson, who invented "Granola" in 1863, the first ready-to-eat, grain-based breakfast product that promised to do less harm to the American digestive system than pork, whiskey, and coffee. Though Jackson's brand didn't catch on, Kellogg's did, and launched a revolution in breakfast food that changed American culture.
