There was much to celebrate at this year’s Sundance Film Festival as distributors stepped up their game, purchasing films like "The Greatest Movie Ever Sold," "Homework," "Martha Marcy May Marlene," and "My Idiot Brother" mere days into the week. This added an extra edge to the already infamous party scene. Here are some of the best premiere parties so far…

    Homework Premiere Dinner

Up and coming director Gavin Wiesen celebrated his first Sundance feature "Homework" with cast and crew at the Carrera Escape Sunglasses Lounge. Guests including stars of the film Emma Roberts, Alicia Silverstone, and Freddie Highmore enjoyed tunes spun by Danny Masterson along with a delicious sushi dinner, Ty-Ku sake, and a Camacho cigar bar. Midway through the celebration it was announced that the film had been purchased by Fox Searchlight, which sent a wave of jubilance through the venue.

    Borderline Films Party

Off the beaten path of Main Street where the “real” parties of Park City go down, Borderline Films celebrated the purchase of its second feature "Martha Marcy May Marlene" at the Tres Sietes Tequila mansion in Deer Valley. Cast and crew including producer Ted Hope and Elizabeth Olsen were in high spirits as they enjoyed a Mexican feast as well as samplings of the new tequila brand. Staying late into the night, guests gawked over beautiful views of the Utah mountains and even enjoyed some play-time on the house’s indoor basketball court.

    Another Happy Day Premiere

Demi Moore, Ellen Barkin, and Kate Bosworth celebrated their Sundance flick "Another Happy Day" with an exclusive dinner at Park City hotspot Silver Restaurant. Also in attendance were Penn Badgley and Chelsea Handler who accompanied their dinner with signature cocktails by Belvedere vodka and Vida tequila. Meanwhile, upstairs remained home to the Playstation 3 lounge where the likes of Paul Rudd, Elizabeth Olsen, and Susan Sarandon got to play with the newest gaming titles from Sony.

    Paramount Insurge Party

Touting the micro-budget division of its studio, Paramount threw a gigantic bash at Matt Levine’s Eldridge pop-up held at the Park City Jean Louis space. This quickly became one of the hottest parties of the week as guests including Bieber director Jon Chu, Tinsley Mortimer, and The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Taylor Armstrong (and her boring husband) rocked out to sets by NYC it-girls Mia Moretti and Caitlin Moe. The alcohol was flowing late into the night at this event along with delicious mini-burgers prepared by STK.
