The entrepreneur has also dedicated her time and money to causes that she's passionate about.
In 2019, Shanahan launched Bia-Echo, a foundation that supports reproductive longevity, criminal justice reform, and environmental sustainability.
Her own personal struggles have informed the foundation's various missions, from empowering women to get pregnant later in life, a difficult experience she has opened up about, to supporting mental health and social services within law enforcement. As she explained in an interview with Modern Luxury, her father was diagnosed with bipolar schizophrenia and struggled with his mental health throughout her childhood.
Bia-Echo's commitment to the environment has seen Shanahan and her team get involved with regenerative agriculture and carbon-neutral farming through organizations and initiatives including Kiss The Ground and the 50 Farms Project.
