Shanahan has built quite the career of her own as a tech entrepreneur and attorney, founding ClearAccessIP, an AI-powered firm that enables clients to manage and monetize patents and intellectual property rights. She sold the company in 2020, and currently works as an attorney and a research fellow at CodeX, the Stanford Center for Legal Informatics.
