Labor day is fast approaching and it's better to book sooner than later. Get out of the city for three or four days and drive somewhere far, far away. But not too far, so you won't be too tired on Tuesday morning. We suggest a maximum of six hours each way, so we've put together our favorite inns, bed and breakfasts, or resorts along that radius. Some are much closer (Long Island) while others will bring you to the beautiful mountainous regions of New Hampshire and Vermont. Don't lie, you've always wanted to visit Vermont. Now is your chance - if you're single, bring a friend and split the cost. If you're taken, bring your significant other and make this a romantic long weekend neither of you will forget.
