July: San Fermin Festival, "The Running of The Bull"

Where: Pamplona, Spain
Why: Originally started for the practical reason of guiding Bulls into the bullring for fighting, the Running of the Bull has become one of the most exciting and dangerous festivals to take place. The bulls charge behind runners for 825 meters, straight into the ring. The object now is for the runners to make it into the ring before the bulls. However - the runners don't always make it!
