On Tuesday, December 8th, the Seeds of Africa Foundation will host its annual New Yorkers for Seeds fundraiser event featuring an exclusive DJ performance by Questlove with media partner Tadias and cocktails courtesy of Owl’s Brew.
Questlove is best known as a member of The Roots – the official house band on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon where he also serves as the show's Musical Director. The event will celebrate the organization’s mission to educate and nurture children and their families by providing quality education and community development programs in Adama, Ethiopia with The Dream School Campaign. The Dream School Campaign launched in October 2014 with a goal to raise $2.2 Million in two-years to fund the creation of an Ethiopian Academy and community center to serve up to 600 students, their families and the Adama community at large. It will meet the most rigorous international academic standards and prepare its students to succeed in high school, college and beyond.
