What do Warren Buffett and Lindsay Lohan have in common? Apparently, a pricey connection to one Justin Sun. Up until a few years ago, the Chinese-born entrepreneur was relatively obscure. Then, in 2019, he won a coveted bid to have a "power lunch" with Buffett, who auctions off the opportunity annually. He paid a record $4.6 million for the meeting, made a whole public to-do about it on social media, and then... cancelled! On Warren Buffett! That caused a bit of a scandal in some circles, and brought tales of his dubious business dealings to light.
In the end, Sun's reputation seemed to repair itself. He eventually had that meeting with Buffett (except it was a dinner and not a lunch) and his cryptocurrency platform TRON has since blown up with the NFT market. And that's where Lindsay Lohan ties in. This year, she partnered with Sun to release NFTs (non-fungible tokens) through TRON.
