In 1997, just six weeks before her untimely death, she had lunch with Tina Brown, then the editor of The New Yorker, and Anna Wintour at the plush (now shuttered) Four Seasons restaurant, which was then still located in the Seagram Building. "She looked incredible, first of all. That was the most important thing, and she looked fantastic," Wintour recalled last year in a conversation with Brown at the Women in the World Summit. "I heard that she spent a lot of time deciding what to wear to that particular lunch." In case you were wondering, it was a mint green Chanel suit - she definitely knew her audience.
