Going out in the city may look a little different this season (or, at least it should because everyone is supposed to be wearing a mask, ahem) but one summertime staple has returned to help you relive your #HotGirlSummer of yore. Next week, urban paradise Gitano Garden of Love is reopening for al fresco bites and Tulum-inspired, albeit socially-distanced, partying.
"We believe that New Yorkers have spent too long in their apartments and probably don't want to take flights again just yet - so, a 24,000 square foot tropical garden with comfy, elegant outdoor dining, our delicious new menu, and spicy mezcal margarita is just the ticket," says Grupo Gitano owner James Gardner. "We are also taking our responsibility to be leaders in both safety and social change very seriously and will be unveiling a number of creative and innovative changes and initiatives this season."
While indulging in modern Mexican fare and Mezcal cocktails, guests can be assured of safety precautions, including automated and conctactless ordering straight from your phone, open-air handwashing stations, deep cleanings between seatings, and PPE on all staff members. Tables will also be arranged six-feet apart, while the plush tropical plants will create private garden spaces for separate groups.
