Just days before New Yorkers started to shelter-in-place (or flee the city), Le Crocodile was making major headlines. During one weekend in early March, both Jennifer Lawrence and Emily Ratajkowski were spotted dining at the Williamsburg brasserie with their respective beaus and just about every Brooklyn cool kid had it on their Instagram hit list. The spot also earned an impressive 3 stars from The New York Times' discerning Pete Wells.
Then, of course, it was forced to shut its doors along with the rest of the restaurant scene - but, finally, it's made a triumphant return following the city's regulations for outdoor dining.
Strung with lights and lined with plush greenery, Le Crocodile's al fresco space has expanded into the Wythe Hotel's dreamy courtyard, serving full-on secret garden vibes along with French favorites from Chefs Jake Leiber and Aidan O'Neal's extensive brasserie menu (new summer additions include Cured Fluke with Fava Beans and Lemon, Vichyssoise with Chilled Oysters and Seafood Sausage with Shellfish Bisque and Turnips).
And to keep diners' date nights as worry-free as they are magical, the restaurant is implementing plenty of safety measures: tables are set six feet apart and sanitized between seatings, all guests are required to wear masks when they're not eating or imbibing, menus are disposable, and hand sanitizing stations are dispersed throughout the space (you can even request some at your table - pandemic luxury indeed).
Tables are sure to get booked up fast, so snag your slot on Resy now!
