Margaux delivers the old-school hotel café vibe with aplomb, thanks to its olive-green leather booths, coffered ceiling, and 5th Ave location inside the Marlton. The menu is inspired by France and the Mediterranean, with hints of California. Though we can't promise this'll be an entirely tourist-free experience, being a stone's throw from Washington Square Park and all, we can vouch for the rabbit lasagna verde with porcini and chanterelle as well as the rotisserie amish chicken with smashed sweet potato.
