Another new restaurant that you should keep on your radar, Lafayette opened this week, the brainchild of Andrew Carmellini, Josh Pickard, and Luke Ostrom. When you walk in, you'll be greeted with a viewing of the pastry selection, sold up front, pastry shop style and complete with croissants and macarons. Round the corner and you'll find a bar and generous seating area, complete with leather banquettes and pillars that add to the upscale, sophisticated vibe. The menu is primarily French, not surprising given Carmellini's work at
Cafe Boulud.
