Llama Inn
You’ve probably heard of Llama Inn by now, I mean, it is Michelin-approved, but maybe you didn’t know the full story behind the highly praised restaurant. Chef Erik Ramirez and his partner Juan Correa opened this New York Peruvian restaurant to showcase the food and culture of Peru, which they felt was quickly fading in a city of dollar slices and fast takeout.
So, they, thankfully, took the lack of Peruvian cuisine into their own hands. Ramirez curated a menu boasting the unique flavors of his family's native cuisine, while tweaking the traditions just enough so that every bite is new, exciting, and honestly, just damn good. I can now officially say I’ll be opting for their lomo saltado more often than my neighborhood burger (or, at least as often as my bank account will allow...).
