Oh, how the mighty are falling. It looks like Fyre Festival's Billy McFarland isn't the only big spender being forced to give up his lavish lifestyle this summer. Reports have been swirling about a massive foreclosure on Billionaires' Row, the infamous stretch of high-end residences along the south side of Central Park. A $50.9 million full-floor penthouse in the ultra-luxe One57 building is the property up for seizure, and it could become the biggest foreclosure in NYC real estate history.
Now, the mystery man who owns it has finally been revealed as Nigerian playboy Kolawole “Kola” Aluko, a friend of Jay's and Bey's. The 48-year-old energy tycoon, who also owns a 213-foot yacht (once rented to the Carters), is facing heat from the Luxembourg-based Banque Havilland, which issued the unpaid mortgage on the property. With a sale being forced next month, Aluko will be losing all the perks of the residence, including unmatched views of the park, a glamorous indoor pool, private dining spaces, and a performance room. While photos of his actual apartment have yet to be revealed, click through for an inside look at the building's extravagant offerings.
