A mini mansion tucked inside a 19th century horse stable complete with an indoor, 45-foot saltwater pool? No wonder Tribeca's infamous "Marble House" has made such a splash over the years.
The luxe triplex gets its name from the dramatic, handpicked marble outfitting the space, including its kitchen sink "quarried from one 2-ton piece of Carrara marble," marble floors and staircases, and all-marble-everything pool room. Nevertheless, it's quite the modern upgrade inside the former American Express carriage house, originally built in 1866.
Developed by former owner, designer, and movie producer Stuart Parr, the quirky space has appeared on Million Dollar Listing and has been on-and-off the market multiple times in the past decade or so, facing quite a few price fluctuations in the process. According to the New York Post, however, the chic maisonette has officially sold for $17.25 million in a secret, off-market, and all-cash deal.
In addition to its many marble accents, the 9,300-square-foot home (which has also hosted quite a few A-listers in its day) boasts five bedrooms and six bathrooms, Murano glass chandeliers, a sauna, a steam room, a mini theater, and a 1,000-bottle "wine cave." Sounds like the perfect rich person oasis to us!
