While we totally would have pegged Rolling Stones guitarist Keith Richards, and his equally rock-n-roll wife Patti Hansen, as downtown downtown people - holed up, albeit glamorously, in some Bowery loft, or East Village brownstone - it seems they're a bit more posh than we gave them credit for. The coveted address of One Fifth Avenue has been their home for the past four years, a plum location overlooking Washington Square Park in Greenwich Village.
For the past two years, the couple has been searching for a buyer. Going from a list price of $12 million to $9.995 million, the four-bedroom four-bathroom penthouse has finally sold (though at a loss). Quite a steal for a luxury apartment belonging to musical legends.
