You know you've got some money to spare when you're able to throw down a contract for a condo in a building that's not even fully built yet. Enter power couple George and Amal Clooney who are set to move into a 49th floor loft-like apartment in Midtown Manhattan. The 3,385-square-foot, three-bedroom residence is located at 100 East Fifty Third Street, a luxury residence due for completion in 2017. While we would have pictured these two to settle somewhere a little trendier (hello, Tribeca?), the move makes sense, considering its proximity to the United Nations, where human rights lawyer Amal makes frequent visits. According to StreetEasy, there's also set to be a chic restaurant on the ground floor featuring Michelin-starred chef Joël Robuchon. We know where date night will be for these two!
