Hundreds turned out yesterday in NYC to show support for the A Day Without A Woman strike. Wearing red in solidarity, demonstrators took to the streets, from Columbus Circle to Washington Square park, holding signs and shouting their message loud and clear. The International Women's Day movement may have been smaller than the Woman's March back in January, but the fierceness and furor remained as powerful as ever. According to the NYPD, around 13 protestors, including organizers Linda Sarsour, Tamika D. Mallory, Bob Bland, and Carmen Perez, were arrested uptown, causing many protesters to head to the 7th precinct. Click through for some of the major moments of the day.
