Other details: Following one of the most anticipated runway shows of the season (which certainly delivered), Public School hosted an after-party at Gilded Lily. The party also coincided with the birthday party of one of Gilded Lily's founders, Eric Marx. Guests walked in to the venue and to their surprise found a sea of shredded paper throughout the dance-floor. There was also a machine blowing more paper into the air, with none of the scraps being reused but rather adding to whatever was already on the ground. This was all part of the Snarkitecture project, featuring artist Daniel Arsham, which was also part of the runway show. Early on in the night, NBA superstar Russell Westbrook arrived looking stylish and greeting fans, having recently entered the fashion world with his Barneys New York collaboration. Soon Dao-Yi Chow of Public School came by with Details' Eugene Tong and the bottles of Don Julio and Johnnie Walker arrived concurrently. When The other half of Public School Maxwell Osborne arrived, a storm of the shredded paper was showered on the dance floor crowd.

George Lewis Jr., aka Twin Shadow, DJ'd the first half of the party following his original live score on the runway. He proved his mastery of music immediately with the crowd going in full swing early on. Stylecaster's Samantha Lim even took a moment to make Snarkitecture snow angels right in the middle of the dance floor to the crowds amusement. After the Twin Shadow set, Roofeo took over and hung out at the booth with recent collaborator Brendan Fallis. The two continued the hip-hop vibe, and even the usually staid Fallis couldn't help but become absorbed in the energy and danced all night.

This was briefly broken up by a special surprise: a live marching band and dancers that stormed through the club to perform a beat-driven string of rhythms. The crowd watched in awe, and when the band finished the room was more energetic than ever. Even model-of-the-moment Gigi Hadid and living-legend producer James Murphy showed up to join the revelry. Marx and Osborne were surrounded by close friends and kept the vibe going deep into the night, making it the perfect party to end the first week of NYFW.
