Other details: On Thursday music fans were treated to an incredible event at the Bowery Hotel terrace, where a benefit concert and auction were held for School of Seven Bells guitarist Benjamin Curtis. As guests made their way upstairs, they found themselves among an array of items from famous musicians up for auction. Guitars signed by the Jonas Brothers and Coldplay, signed vinyl records from Radiohead, Phoenix, and A-Trak, and Phillip Lim bags were just some of the items people bid on to help Curtis fight lymphoma. The Stroke's Fabrizio Moretti and singer Devendra Banhart kicked off the night behind the DJ booth, and fashion personality Alexa Chung unexpectedly took over just for fun.

The main events of the night were performances by The Strokes' Albert Hammond Jr. and Interpol's Paul Banks, who both played songs from their solo albums. Between their sets, noted comedian Hannibal Buress performed a surprise routine, but guests were not fully prepared to hear standup. He humorously, and succinctly had this to say about it:
@hannibalburess: I did two bits, bombed and left
After the singers performed, they mingled with the crowd while DJ Mom Jeans, aka Danny Masterson, took over DJ duties. He spun well past the auctions closing at midnight, and afterwards joined many of the revelers for drinks in the East Village.
