One of the most exciting aspects of every June is the return of Warm Up, MoMA PS1's weekly Saturday party which brings together a curated lineup of under-the-radar and, well, even more under-the-radar musicians. It's one of the highlights of the summer, to see the eclectic artwork at the museum, eat and drink in a large outdoor space, and catch the acclaimed talents of burgeoning music scenes all in the same day, week after week. While you can't attend them all, we've selected some of our favorite performers slated for Warm Up this season, which kicks off this Saturday. In addition, we've picked out some of our go-to Long Island City haunts to ensure your day trip all the way (see: 1 subway stop) out of Manhattan is eventful.
