El Quijote
The kitschy Spanish restaurant, inspired by Miguel de Cervantes's Don Quixote, opened its doors in 1930 and became one of the longest-standing eateries in the city. Throughout the decades, it established its reputation as a favorite among the artists and rock stars who held court at the Hotel Chelsea. After shuttering in 2018 through hotel renovations, the eatery has recently reopened with a few updates and the same eccentric spirit, making it the buzziest spot to revisit for the city's chic set.
