SUMMIT One Vanderbilt, NYC's Epic New Observation Deck, Is Officially Open!

It's been a while since New York celebrated a blockbuster new addition to its long list of attractions, but this week's opening of SUMMIT One Vanderbilt was no doubt worth the wait.

An epic experience not for the faint of heart, SUMMIT One Vanderbilt is SL Green Realty Corp.'s contribution to the NYC stage - a massive, multi-level observation deck that's already secured its reputation as one of the most exciting high-rise destinations in the city and the world. 

After months of previews, the long-awaited destination is officially open to the public, inviting guests to experience the city like never before over one thousand feet above Madison Avenue. Located atop the swanky One Vanderbilt building, SUMMIT consists of various immersive, imaginative, and, of course, highly Instagrammable moments fit for tourists and locals alike.

ASCENT, an all-glass elevator with a transparent glass floor, takes thrill-seekers up to a point 1,200 feet in the air. AIR is the "story-driven, multi-space immersive experience within SUMMIT One Vanderbilt designed by Kenzo Digital," featuring a glittering glass mezzanine, awe-inspiring views of the skyline, and playful, interactive reflective orbs.

In addition to the SUMMIT Terrace, an al fresco sky deck, guests can visit APRÈS, a sky-high lounge and café serving up gourmet fare and cocktails, curated by Danny Meyer’s Union Square Events.

The whole place has practically been made to be photographed and it's certainly set to be a bold new addition on every New Yorker's bucket list this season. We'd call it the urban playground of the future.
