For Five Coffee at Native Ken is hands down the best spot to grab a cortado in Chelsea, no question. A hybrid coffee and sunglasses shop, Native Ken co-founder Christos Tsiplakos says that Chelsea was chosen for its forward-thinking, LGBTQ community and its homey vibes.
The optical portion of the space is run by Native Ken, a New York based eyewear company that couples innovative design with optical expertise and wellness. Taking inspiration from the definition of ken (one’s range of knowledge or sight) the company is dedicated in manufacturing superior eyewear and providing progressive optical education and care to each and every client. I legit want every single frame, they are so beautiful.
You'd never expect this combination of things to work so well, but as it turns out, exceptional craftsmanship is universal, whether in a cup of coffee or a pair of sunnies.
