Gowanus
Another Brooklyn neighborhood (that is not Williamsburg or Bushwick) garnering street cred, Gowanus has seen a slow rise for a few years now. Thanks to hot spots like the Royal Palms Shuffleboard Club, Pig Beach, and Littlefield, as well as a shiny new Whole Foods, the area has moved away from its namesake, the notoriously gross Gowanus Canal.
