It looks like New Yorkers are about to welcome some seriously enviable new neighbors. While the Obamas recently purchased the $8.1 million home they had been renting in D.C., reports are circulating that the former prez and First Lady are eyeing a place on the Upper East Side, right near the Mayor's residence at Gracie Mansion.
The luxury building at 10 Gracie Square, once home to Gloria Vanderbilt, comes complete with a private underground garage as well as a gym and basketball court - no wonder these two are interested. Though Page Six cites multiple anonymous sources, the purchase has not yet been confirmed. However, we can think of no better hood for the Obamas to settle down in. Here's why.
