Dining in the dark

Everything does feel sexier when the lights dim, but that doesn't mean you should have a sultry dinner for two in pitch black! Dining in the dark is a foodie phenomenon where diners eat blindfolded or in a dark room so that their other senses are heightened. Places like Opaque NYC and CAMAJE Bistro host these kinds of events a couple times a month. That sounds cool, and at least there aren't thirsty people who are taking snaps for the Instagram likes there, but it's not exactly an ideal dating spot. You'll enjoy the food, no doubt, but you're privy to getting food all over yourself and it's kind of hard to hold an intimate conversation when you can't see your date at all.
